About Me

Smart Caliph: Assalamualaikum & welcome to Smart Caliph Blog. Let me introduce about myself. I have experienced working in aerospace and oil & gas industry for the past 11 years as an engineer. Now, I am very lucky to work with a Montessori principal, teacher Siti. Sharing her knowledge & experience in Montessori program, we established this centre. I also obtain some input from my wife, Associate Prof. Dr. Aisyah Abdul Rahman. She is currently attached to Faculty of Economics and Mgt, UKM. She inspires me to adopt the Montessori concept based on her experience studying abroad as well as teaching the university students. Having studied in Lehigh University, Pennsylvania, U.S., she had to be discipline and independent. Staying far away from parents and living in a different culture, she had to do many things on her own, starting from simple to complicated ones. That’s why to her, Montessori concept of ‘teach me how to do it myself’ becomes important and must start from the early childhood. She also believes that by inculcating Montessori concept with Islamic values along with English as a medium of language will help to generate a strong ‘ummah’ in the future.
